My name is Giovanni, and I am a Tuscan storyteller with a deep love for food, culture, and tradition. You could say I was born into it, my mother restored Renaissance paintings, and my father is a chef. Between art and cuisine, I grew up surrounded by the two crafts that have shaped the culture and history of Tuscany itself.

I was raised in Pistoia, where my nonna’s farmhouse sits among olive groves, and my nonno made his own wine, continuing a tradition passed down through generations. Some of my earliest memories are around the table, fresh bread, olive oil we pressed ourselves, and meals that brought everyone together. That’s where my passion for authentic food experiences began.

I speak English, German, Spanish, and of course Italian. My journey has taken me to live in Germany, Australia, and Norway, where I explored different food cultures and deepened my appreciation for how cuisine connects people across the world.
 

After years abroad, I returned to Tuscany with fresh eyes, thanks in part to my Canadian partner, whose sense of wonder reminded me just how special this land truly is. Seeing Tuscany through her perspective rekindled my love for its flavours, its people, and its way of life.
